What's new?
I've started doing magic tricks in class? I'm not sure why but It's kind of fun. I've learned something fucking astounding though. Apparently there's an actual minimum age at which anything below, "magic," is simply not miraculous. Here's the run down on my kids and their thoughts on magic.
5 years old: You had a coin, and now it's not a sticker. Where you going to give me a sticker or a candy? There was a coin? I'm bored.
6 years old: Something about what just happened isn't right, but i'm not really sure why. I'm bored.
7 years old: You're a liar and a cheat.
8 years old: 50% = WOAH, DO IT AGAIN. No? Why not? I'm bored. 50% = I don't care.
I think because I only have 7 more teaching days left, a solid week, I've started to have fun again. I guess I've realized I don't have a reason not to act hecka loose now. Today one of my kids start busting a beat on the desk and singing a song which had a pretty good beat. He's going to go far. Anyway, I'm not sure why but I started dancing. I'm not sure if the kids have finally made me crazy or i'm just happy to finally be leaving. Probably just happy to see my family again.
more later..
You are so right about the kids...my little ones get bored and confused with my jokes too :-D
